3 Clear Signs Your Spiritual Teacher is the REAL DEAL
They teach themselves out of a job.
A true spiritual teacher’s number one goal is to get their students to the point where they realize they no longer need the teacher. In fact, the best spiritual teachers are the ones who are constantly telling the students that they know the answers themselves, and the teacher wasn’t necessary in the first place. When the student walks away from the teacher because they don’t need them anymore, the teacher celebrates.They prefer in small groups or 1-1.
True education (of pulling the wisdom out from within the students) cannot happen lecture-format large classes where the teacher doesn’t personally know every single student. The ideal class size is less than 15 students.The teacher asks more questions and facilitates a space where the student does most of the talking.
If your teacher is constantly asking questions and getting you as the student to contribute, and your teacher encourages students to speak and share and process with each more than with the teacher, then they are truly nudging you to find your answers within yourself.
